I'm Stella. I live in Burlington, and I built Halton Pets because the independent places are the ones that know your dog's name, and they are getting harder to find. The chains keep taking more of the space around here, and they are the ones that come up first when someone searches online.
Nobody pays to be on this site and nobody can pay to rank higher on it. There is no advertising and no sponsored placement, so the order you see is not for sale.

How I curate
This directory focuses on independent, owner-led pet businesses in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills. I deliberately exclude national chains and big-box retailers so the guide stays useful for finding local operators. Each listing is sorted into a service category and its city based on its public business profile.
Listing information is compiled from public sources. I show observable facts: service category, service area, hours, Google rating and review count, rather than editorial opinions or rankings. Where a business has limited public information, its listing is shorter; that is a reflection of available data, not a judgment of the business.
